The following photos are examples of homes that have been staged- not designed or decorated - a big difference! Supplies and decor items were either found in the clients home, but were utilized in a different place or purchased at discount stores and the budgets were very minimal. This is just a small sample of work that shows what is possible with little time and money for the client!!
Further down the page are a few homes with major updates, they are homes that were flipped. Enriched Interiors works closely with several professional who flip homes as a business.
(Some photos are not professional or of vivid clarity because they were sent in by the clients)
Before & Afters:
 |
Master Bedroom - Before
Creating a wall paper headboard added warmth and gave the room a focal point.
|
After
Now the room appears larger which highlights one of the homes assests.
| |
 |
Before
The exsisting furniture was out of date and the walls were bare.
|
After
Painting the furniture gives the room a provincial chic look and the large mirror helps balance the room, with the large headboard on the opposite side.
| |
 |
Bedroom - Before
There were too many large pieces of furniture in the room.
|
After
Adding softer bedding creates a warmer feel and removing the canapy makes the room appear larger.
| |
 |
Master Bedroom - Before
This was a dark and messy room that does not showcase the full potential.
|
After #1
Add a color theme and de-clutter.
| |
 |
After #2
After the client decided they were not moving we re-did the room again, in a color palet and theme that suited the clients specific tastes.
|
Tween Bedroom- Before
The room was large and had plenty of natural lighting allowing us to play with bright colors.
| |
 |
After
With the wide colorful plaid and flower textiles country is given a whole new meaning! To personalize the room, wall art could be added over the bed.
|
Before
Removing the toys and small scale furniture made room for practical statement pieces.
| |
 |
After
Any teenage girl would love to curl up and read in this overstuffed chair.
|
Home Office - Before
Appears small with no real work station.
| |
 |
After
Roll top desks are a great solution for working spaces in public areas of the home, so they can store most of the clutter.
|
Home Office in Kitchen - Before
There was no where for the eye to rest, and this was not viewed by the buyer as the bonus feature it truly is!
| |
 |
After
Now buyers could envision themselves using this space.
|
Entry Way - Before
Gives buyers a cold, sterile feeling as they enter.
| |
 |
After
Adding curtains and a co-ordinating door mat exudes warmth.
|
Master Bathroom- Before
Large soaker tub should make this room feel like a spa, but it lacks the peaceful relaxation quality.
| |
 |
After
With co-ordinating mat, towels, curtains and bath accessories, now the master bath feel open, airy, and peaceful.
|
B&B Library - Before
Books were cluttered and heavy in areas
| |
 |
After
Bring order by organizing in colors and spread the books out
|
Before
The shelves are packed and don't look inviting
| |
 |
After
Placing personal touches of art, photos and pottery create interesting shelves
|
Stoney Creek Home- Before
For this home i used NO budget! Everything was utilized from the home and lots of de-cluttering. My first suggestion was to paint the whole interior, which they did not do - but the results were still great!
| |
 |
After
Paint the front doors and garage doors black, as well as remove the storm doors for a more modern look.
|
Entry Way-Before
| |
 |
After
Removing the furniture in the entry way makes the hall appear larger.
|
Kitchen-Before
| |
 |
After
Remove carpet (you should never have carpet in a kitchen), remove all clutter from walls and small furniture.
|
Family Room - Before
| |
 |
After
Remove large tv unit and allow for the fire place to become the focal point. Remove area rug (carpet on carpet always looks like the home owners are trying to hide something).

Rearrange furniture and open curtains. I would also suggest removing the frilled curtain topper for a more modern look.

Front Before
The steps leading up to the house were old and falling apart, the front porch was in need of a lot of repair as was the front garden.
|
Front After
The drive way was paved, the steps and porch received a face lift with stone pebbled cement and a large colorful vase was added as a front focal point.
| |
 |
Entry Way Before
It was cluttered and there was no defined purpose.
|
Entry Way After
Now it is clean and inviting, the baskets can store mail, or winter hats.
| |
 |
Hall Before
There needed to be a transition and flow into the kitchen.
|
Hall After
The vertical flooring and long mirror bring the buyer toward the kitchen and make the home appear larger as there is no obstruction to the view.
| |
 |
Kitchen Before
This kitchen was very dated. I suggested the peel and stick tile used on the floor, i chose the new back splash, the wall color, the counters, and the cabinet handles. They were going to tear apart the cabinets, but i suggested they frame them and paint them out - which they did and it looks great.
|
Kitchen After
I did not have the time to stage the picture before hand, but i think the difference speaks for itself.
| |
 |
Kitchen Before
This was the color on the walls before, remove the table and add a butchers block with a hanging pot rack which is a great use for this spot.
|
Kitchen After
New stainless steel appliances bring this kitchen into the 2000's and the peel and stick went right over the existing floor - fast, cheap and perfect results!
| |
 |
Living Room Before
There was too much bulky furniture and no focal point, it also needed to be de-cluttered.
|
Living Room After
There is now an assigned seating area and a focal point, the matching curtains and new stained hardwood creates flow through the main floor.
| |

Bedroom #1 Before
This was clearly a boys bedroom, but if your selling you want every room to appear gender neutral.
|
Bedroom #1 After
Staining the floors the same color as the rest of the house, adding modern tab curtains, and giving this room a new function, such as a home office gives home buyers something to think about.
| |
 |
Bedroom #2 Before
This space was not utilized to its fullest, moving the work out equipment to the basement and turning this room into an additional bedroom paid off more for the home buyers.
|
Bedroom #2 After
Paint, a simple tab curtain, a blow up mattress and matching bedding as added new life to this room with little effort.
| |
 |
Master Bedroom Before
With a faux finish gone wrong on the walls and ceiling, this room needed paint, new lighting and a focal point to start.
|
Master Bedroom After
Now this room allows for potential buyers to imagine themselves waking up here.
| |
 |
Bathroom Before
As the only bathroom on the main floor-it had to wow potential buyers. They were going to tear down the wood, because it is dated, but i suggested painting it.
|
Bathroom After
Adding thicker, more modern trim around the windows, painting the walls, inserting a glass door instead of a curtain, replacing the sink and faucet all make this room transformation amazing!
| |
 |
Basement Hall Before
The was an unfinished mess with no purpose, a bonus space that was not utilized.
|
Basement Hall After
A drop ceiling was added, bookshelves and lots of lighting, so this space can be a reading area/library for future buyers.
| |
 |
Basement Family Room Before
This room was not utilized as the fully finished bonus family space it could be.
|
Basement Family Room After
As a tv area, this room now has a purpose, as a hang out spot for the kids.
| |
 |
Spare Bedroom Before
|
Spare Bedroom After
Now this room is cozy and inviting and can be pictured as a functional bonus room!
| |
 |
Bathroom Before
No money to retile?
|
Bathroom After
Take the eye off the tile - add art, curtain and floor mat in same colour, then that becomes the new focal point!
| |
 |
Front Hall Before
|
Front Hall After
| |
 |
Hallway Before
Potential buyers don't want to see your family photos on display. They want a blank slate so they can imagine their photos there.
|
Hallway After
Everything except the mirror was taken off the wall.
| |
 |
Kitchen Before
|
Kitchen After
The fridge was too large for the space but when moved to the opposite side of the kitchen it opens up the feel of the room.
| |
 |
Dining Room Before
|
Dining Room After
The large cabinet was removed, everything off the walls and windows was taken out and curtains were opened up wider, very small changes that made an impact.
| |
 |
Living Room Before
This room was so cluttered and the family pet was kept in here - this was suppose to be a formal living room not the pets room - remove any animals from the house when trying to sell!!!
|
Living Room After
With no purchases made, now people have room to visit.
| |
 |
Girls Bedroom Before
I suggested painting out the room in a neutral - advice which was not taken until after a few weeks on the market at which point they painted a few rooms and it sold.
|
Girls Bedroom After
Just some simple de-cluttering and furniture replacement made a big difference.
